It is agreed between SELLER and BUYER as follows:

Sold at the sum of $3500, (including $300.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit) in full at time of sale, excluding shipping & handling and/or Tennessee State Tax of 9.75% if applicable.

  1. SELLER guarantees that at the time of delivery, the puppy is in excellent health, is up to date on the immunizations appropriate for the puppy’s age and has had appropriate de-worming when the BUYER takes possession. Vet records will be available for BUYER.

  2. SELLER  requires pet insurance to be active prior to picking up your puppy.  FFF will need to see proof of insurance, BUYER can send either a screenshot or forward the Declarations Page to contact@flyingfeatherfarm.com.  FFF has a Go Home Day Offer  from an insurer that we highly recommend that will get you immediate coverage if activated within 24 hours of picking up your puppy.  SELLER is not compensated for recommending the insurer.  After everyone has selected their puppy, FFF will send an email with directions for pick up and will attach the insurance offer at that time.

  3. The BUYER has 3 days from date of purchase to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian.  This includes Distemper, Parvo, and Adenovirus.  NOT COVERED are Coccidia, Giardia and Kennel Cough. Coccidia and Giardia are commonly found in puppies and may or may not cause symptoms. Stress of new home and surroundings can cause a stress-related outbreak. This should be considered a reasonable expectation and is the BUYER'S financial responsibility.  Flying Feather Farm cannot emphasize enough how important it is to keep your puppy away from other dogs and public areas until pup is fully vaccinated as there are many diseases such as Parvo which are deadly to new puppies.

  4.  If the licensed veterinarian should find a minor pre-existing health condition, the SELLER would cover up to $100 towards the treatment costs. This does not cover worms (internal parasites) as they are common in puppies.

  5. If the licensed veterinarian found a pre-existing, life-threatening problem, the BUYER must contact Flying Feather Farm immediately.  The BUYER can choose to return the puppy and SELLER will provide BUYER with full refund of the purchase price (excluding delivery or shipment cost) of the puppy OR replace puppy from another litter. Proof of veterinary examination must be provided.  The original puppy must be returned to Flying Feather Farm within 2 days (48 hours) of the examination.   If your puppy is not taken to be checked by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of possession this warranty is void.

  6. The SELLER provides a 2-year extended Health Warranty from date of birth against any debilitating congenital defects or serious life altering genetic diseases. Should a genetic disease be discovered during this time that will greatly shorten the life of, or greatly alter the quality of life, SELLER will provide BUYER with up to 50% of the original purchase price of puppy only towards specialist recommended treatment.   In the event puppy exhibits symptoms of a suspected debilitating congenital defect, the BUYER must supply any requested veterinary records to the SELLER and those records must provide proof of congenital defects.  If the puppy expires due to this debilitating congenital defect, SELLER will provide a replacement puppy from another litter.

  7. A warranty for hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, eye conditions that are genetic in origin and genetic heart disorders that are serious enough to require treatment, until 24 months of age.  Should dog be found to have any of these stated, life-altering conditions within its first two years, BUYER must provide SELLER with a copy of the OFA report.  A veterinarian cannot make the diagnosis, it can only be made by OFA, Penn Hip, or other accredited hip specialist certifiers and the puppy must be sedated for the radiograph to be taken.  We reserve the right to confirm the results before a 50% refund is provided. Should results from OFA / Penn HIP indicate that an injury may have occurred that caused or contributed to the issue, no reimbursement or replacement will be provided.

  8. BUYER agrees to maintain this dog in good health, provide preventative health care including, but not limited to, inoculation, internal parasites, and where indicated, heart worm preventative medication. Use of oral flea & tick preventative will void this contract, since this medication has association with seizure activity in pets.  It is agreed that your pup/dog will be housed indoors and fed a quality food.  This warranty will be terminated should dog be allowed to become overweight or developing joints be over stressed at any point during the first two years.

  9. It is also agreed that you will maintain the dog at a healthy weight. BUYER agrees to postpone strenuous, repetitive exercise (such as agility training or running miles a day) until a minimum of one year of age. BUYER agrees to provide basic obedience training within the first year of ownership. BUYER agrees to never place this dog in a shelter, pound, or similar facility including a research laboratory. SELLER agrees to re-home pup/dog should it become necessary at any point during its life.  Warranties shall apply only to the original purchaser. Transfer of dog ownership shall void all such provisions of this agreement.

  10. This warranty does not include allergy or shedding issues, temperament or size issues, seizures, viral or bacterial illnesses, infections, improper bites, ear infections, hernias, hypoglycemia, Giardia, Coccidiosis or parasites of any kind.  It also does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, physical injury or issues of unknown origin or that may have an environmental link.

  11. BUYER has made a reasonable judgment regarding the potential adult coat of the puppy.  However, as these are living beings, this judgment does not guarantee the adult coat nor is there a guarantee of the allergy-friendliness, degree of shedding or color of the coat at maturity.

  12.  â€‹The puppy is sold as a PET ONLY and CANNOT BE BRED under this contract.  This puppy is being sold with a Spay/Neuter Agreement which must be reviewed and signed by BUYER before purchase is complete.   Spaying or neutering must be done before the puppy's first birthday.  All certificates of spay/neuter must be provided to Flying Feather Farm upon completion of the procedure.  Documentation must include pet's description, breed, and microchip number. Failure to comply will void the 24-month extended health guarantee and legal action may be taken at the BUYER'S expense.  No breeding rights have been given – breeding of this puppy/dog is not allowed.

  13. Under no circumstances shall the SELLER be liable to the BUYER or to any third party for any consequential, incidental or special damages resulting from or in a manner related to the puppy. Upon execution of this contract, all veterinary care and associated costs are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the BUYER.

I have read and agreed to the terms and conditions listed in this contract.
